The unprecedented rate of urbanisation is taking toll on cities’ climate and environment globally, but the most profound impacts are evident in the fast growing cities in developing countries, like in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. Urban heat islands are emerging abruptly and instantaneously.
